Scroll down to the arboreal setup. Bladez is right, cross ventilation is very important for a.versicolor. They require slightly higher humidity than required by most ts, and a good ventilation.
I've got my first versicolor 2 months + ago, and it's still alive and kicking.

I'm sorry for both your losses, hope the next versicolor you order will not share the same fate.

Misting everyday is not necessary in Malaysia, remember, they don't have to drink water constantly so misting the enclosure whenever the substrate dries up is good enough. Also make sure your enclosure have a good ventilation to avoid the air inside your enclosure becomes too humid after misting.
Allowing the T to built its nest is also essential for young avics, just try to find a way to not destroy your T's nest whenever you open your enclosure. Since avics love to build their nest on the top of the enclosure, I invert all my avics containers to avoid this.
Last and not the least, give your T enough time alone. Feeding it once a week is good enough, no point checking it everyday as it will probably introduce more stress to it.

Avics, they need enclosures with good ventilation.Without good ventilation, they are basically as good as dead.IMY,less misting is much more better than overmisting.A not well ventilated enclosure with high humidity is a big no no for avic sp.Its basically like drowning them. You need good ventilation so that the humidity of the tank can be balanced out.I have been rearing one avic versi and it eats like there is no tomorrow. Therefore,it is important to check out the t's caresheet before purchasing one.It will save you lots of money, time as well as your t's  Wink
