was suprise when i saw my 4.5inch Orange(bought from leito 7mths ago) curl up today..she healthily ate cricket 2 days ago  Embarrassed

molted 3 weeks ago..i guess maybe got infection..tank setup no problem..humidity not more than 75%..6inch deep substrate..

Sorry to hear of your loss.   At least you can take comfort in knowing that you gave it a much better chance than all the other T's in the wild.   Even though we do our best to provide a safe and good home, deaths do still occur occasionally.  It sucks that we never really know why.

yeah..i really disappointed because i really dont know what is the reason for this hardy sp..perfect substrate..humidity in control..good eater..good ventilation..no direct sunlight..treat her as good as chaco chaco  Embarrassed

Anyway lost 2 of my OBT around 2inches+ LS when i tried keep them in an aircond room at 24 C during night time despite keeping with other tropical climate / Sub tropical climate and dry climate sp. Yet again shits does happen without reason.

They are hardy of course, but does not mean it take a lot to kill them. Thats kinda big statement. Care is needed regularly.

Yes they are hardy so do majority of the Tarantula species base on your point.

As i said your previous post is a big statement. However i do agree they might survive better with lower humidty compared to other T sling. I don't mist them as much as other Ts.

Yet again, i do believe night is pretty cold where they originated from.

Heck i do like the pics on this thread anyways.
